Debo is a versatile artist known for his work as a poet, writer, director, facilitator, and collaborator. With a global perspective, he has engaged with writers from diverse backgrounds, including Palestine, Pakistan, Kosovo, Britain, and Africa. Debo’s creative portfolio spans various mediums, from theater to television, and educational content.
Notable projects include “Seawall,” a collaborative play exploring the 1948 British Mandate, and “Iyalode of Eti,” a reimagining of John Webster’s “The Duchess of Malfi,” praised for its intelligence and inventiveness. Additionally, Debo has produced educational content like “The ABD of the Yoruba’s,” a historical video series for young audiences in Lagos, Nigeria.
In the television realm, Debo has made significant contributions as a head writer, script editor, and creative consultant. His work includes the African adaptation of “Desperate Housewives” and original series like “The Governor” and “Fifty – The Series” for EbonyLife TV and Netflix.
Educated in Theatre Arts, with an MA in Writing for Performance from Goldsmiths University and an M.Litt. from St. Andrews University, Debo seamlessly integrates scriptwriting, theology, and the arts into his creative endeavors, striving to leave a lasting impact on audiences worldwide.
